Shit...I don't know if hip-hop is dead, alive,
homo (no homo), saggy pants, tights pants or just mentally retarded.
I do know one thing though, when I used to cop a new Nas album, that
shit was like an event for me. Today it's all about i-phones and
auto-tune. I mean, I try to fuck with it, but it just
doesn't feel the same. So in my case, I decided to get stuck where I
felt most comfortable with the state of Hip-Hop, the fucking 90's.
The Fixtape is a concoction of beats produced entirely by myself and
accapellas from numerous legendary (if not, nearly) hip-hop artists.
In most cases I combined several accapella tracks into one joint
because I don't really feel this "slap-on" remix bullshit; I try to
make more of an effort than simply matching the fucking bpm.
Anyways, enough talk.
